High school plus trade or vocational school in General Maintenance. One to three years experience in maintenance.

* High School Diploma or GED
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for all maintenance of assigned area. Follows prescribed safety standards and maintains a clean and safe environment according to established policies and procedures.
*Repairs and fabricates hospital equipment.
*Performs plumbing repairs and replacement.
*Performs electrical repairs and replacement.
*Performs HVAC repairs and replacement.
*Troubleshoots all hospital equipment.
*Working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Program.
*Demonstrates a basic knowledge of reading blueprints.
*Attends Department staff meetings and in-services provided.
*Handling and packaging of Universal Waste; florescent bulbs, batteries, mercury containing equipment
*Proper labeling of Universal Waste containers including accumulation start date
*Knowledge of Universal Waste accidental release procedures
*Understanding of infrequent disposal of hazardous waste; flammables, toxics, oxidizers, corrosives
*Handling and packaging of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluids for proper disposal
*Proper labeling of Used Oil containers including accumulation start date
*Knowledge of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluid accidental release procedures and collection/clean up
