As the Radiographer in the Radiology Department, and under the direction of a Radiologist with minimal supervision, performs radiographic procedures. Responsible for designated areas or procedures; performs procedures requiring independent judgment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
  • NM Radiography Technologist (RRT) License required.
    ARRT R.T.(R) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging procedures, operating appropriate equipment.
  • Processes imaging media, trouble shoots and corrects problems.
  • Performs basic nursing care.
  • Performs departmental clerical duties.
  • Ensures patient's rights are protected.
  • Participates in Performance Improvement.
  • Assists with orientation of new personnel; supervises students during their clinical rotation.
  • Promotes a safe environment.
