Schedules, assigns and supervises the work of the clerical PMG staff. Acts as a resource person to other supervisors in the department.

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of three to five years progressive experience in a relevant work environment. Supervisor experience is preferred.

Education Essential:
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Ensures accuracy of registration to ensure accurate Medical Records generation. Ensures predicable high quality front office patient experience in assigned clinics. Ensures excellence in customer service approach by all clerical staff. Ensures adequate staffing at assigned clinics. Interviews and hires clerical staff support in assigned clinic locations. Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and imitates/makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Functions as liaison between physicians and clerical staff.
  • Ensures registration accuracy at 95% or greater. Follows financial guidelines for maintaining optimal budgetary compliance.
  • Participates in the planning processes and formatting budget preparation and ongoing monitoring as part of the team.
  • Participate in personal and team development of clerical employees. Works with Mgr Clerical, Ops and Patient Financial
  • Services to care denials. Ensures standard work process for all front office staff. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Adheres to JCAHO and ACR guidelines. Accountable for daily business processes and communication.
  • Responsible for data gathering for operational analysis of site. Oversees compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinates CQI initiatives. Work with Clinic Manager to oversee daily activities of the clerical staff to optimize productivity and census manages with appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
