the Cardiac Sonographer performs cardiac ultrasound (echocardiograms); Produces images of the heart to show hemodynamics and function via cardiac ultrasound. Cardiac images are digitally acquired, and measurements obtained. Our team is looking for a clinical and technical expert in the field who demonstrates increasing level of excellence through clinical practice, teaching/mentoring abilities, and leadership qualities. Serve as a lead echocardiographer and education resource. Mentors other technologists. Supports structural heart procedures.
Other information:
*High school diploma or GED is required,
*Graduate of a two (2) year Allied Health Training Program, Ultrasound Technology preferred
*Bachelors program in health science (including, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred
*8 or more years or more experience inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
*New Mexico State Licensure under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program (NMRTT)
*Current BLS required.
*Required: ARDMS/RDCS credential: with one of the following specialties: AE, FE, PE;
or
one CCI credential: RCS, RCCS
or
have promoted up with years of experience and assigned a Lead OR resource sonographer.
*ACS a plus
