Supervise, direct, and coordinate the activities and personnel of the procurement and payables team. This position will assist with development and overall implementation of procure to pay strategies and work processes.

Ideal Candidate:

1-3 years experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Bachelors degree in Business or Finance required, 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree, plus 5 years experience with procure to pay principles and systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Finance required, 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree, plus 5 years experience with procure to pay principles and systems.
  • 1-3 years experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and direct effectively
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to problem solve while effectively handling multiple tasks

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and directs the procure to pay team, including assignment of work activities and monitoring of workflow.
  • Coaching, develop and mentor staff members to fully develop skills within their jobs as well as to build skills
  • Balancing supervision with own day to day processing responsibilities
  • Provides policy advice to leadership, assuring procure to pay processes are in line with the company policies.
  • Promotes collaborative procure to pay efforts to drive efficiency across departments and with other departments and vendors. Driving continuous improvement, operational support, and training.
  • Directs and participates in the analysis, review, and approval of purchases in accordance with policies and procedures (ex: order processing, PO processing, backorders, GHX exceptions, etc.)
  • Directs and participates in the analysis, review, and processing of all vendor invoices in accordance with applicable policies and procedures (ex: meeting payment terms, invoice processing, issue resolution etc.)
  • Provide exceptional customer service and escalation management for procure to pay staff, external departments, suppliers, and other customers
  • Assist in supplier selection, monitoring, and managing supplier performance.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
