Summary:
Presbyterian is hiring a GI Tech for the GI Lab.
The GI Technician is responsible for the technical support to physicians in the GI lab and related assistance to patients undergoing GI Lab procedures. Responsible to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsible for setting up equipment and supplies for GI cases along with cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and accessories. Assist and inform physicians and nurses of relevant information. Demonstrate competency, efficiency, and leadership in performing advanced endoscopic procedures and in applying new technology.
Minimum 1 year experience in hospital or outpatient setting plus rigorous advanced endoscopy training in GI Lab procedure room setting.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification required at time of hire.
Prefer one year of GI Tech experience
