Summary:
As a Lead Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will oversees the daily work of
Emergency Room Lab Assistants in the general operation of assigned area. Performs waived and moderate complexity testing, demonstrating strong proficiency in operation of instrumentation as required. Prepares schedules for Lab Assistants, finds coverage as needed, order supplies, maintains equipment, and effectively assesses problems and provides/proposes solutions to management. Provides general assistance to clinical floor staff as needed.

Other information:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Nine months of phlebotomy experience.
Preference of PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Point of care, waived, and moderate complexity testing experience preferred, as well as laboratory specimen handling and testing.
Competent phlebotomy skills.
Effective communication skills, team-oriented, multi-tasker, organized, able to work in a fast- paced environment.
Good analytical skills.
Be on call as needed or required; work holidays, evenings and weekends as required.

Essential:
* High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification required at time of hire.
