Now hiring an Access Control Tech with Locksmithing experience for the

Security Department!

 

Do you have Locksmithing experience?  The ideal candidate should have journeyman locksmithing experience skills and abilities and multi-level master keying system design, implementation experience.



Plans, coordinates and performs all duties relating to key control program and design and maintenance of master key program for PHS. Capable of working with little or no supervision..

Ideal Candidate:

5-yrs trade or vocational school, apprenticeship or related fields. 5 years of journeyman locksmithing experience skills and abilities. 5 years multi-level master keying system design, implementation experience.

  • ALOA PGP Certified Preferred


Education Essential: High School Diploma or GED

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Specify, install, troubleshoot and repair locking hardware and fire doors.
  • Exhibit knowledge of Schlage Grade 1 hardware; Von Duprin Panic Exit Devices; Simplex 1000 and 5000 series lock; Detex alarmed Exit Devices; Magnetic locks, Electric releases; Door Closers; ADA & Barrier Free Regulations.
  • Coordinate access control Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Implement key control program.
  • Design and maintain master key program.
  • Provide consultation for general physical security for all hospital departments, Regional Centers, Clinics, Managed Properties, Real Estate, Architecture and Construction.
  • Establish model locking hardware specifications for new construction hardware and replacement hardware.
  • Supervise contractor implementation of access control related wiring, control equipment and related hardware.
  • Be on-call to address access control related emergencies.
  • Serves as a resource to departments within the area of facility maintenance operations.
  • Supports organizational visions, values and strategies.
