Summary:
As an RN on the Adult Surgical Unit, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsible for prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating a standards-based framework model.
Patient population:
Adult to Geriatric, GI Surgery, Urology, Ortho except hips and knees, fractures, general surgery, nephrology, dialysis, ostomy, hysterectomy, oral surgery, some cancer, NG tube insertion,
Foley catheters, sometimes Peds overflow NO TELE, general medical patients-sepsis, incision, and drainage.
*average length of stay is 4 days

Education:
*Minimum Associate Degree
*Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred. (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO).
