Now hiring a Sales Account Executive-Small Group 

 

Position is eligible for base rate plus commission (Estimated on target earnings; 90K to 110K total compensation)

 

Responsible for acquiring new group membership for the health plans suite of products. Acquires enrolled lives utilizing sales channels effectively. Develops prospecting strategies through a comprehensive understanding of Presbyterian s products and a working knowledge of the market place. Manages the relationships of an assigned book of producers and territory

Qualifications

  • Three to six years of related experience in insurance and/or sales with Sales target and quota experience.
  • Within 90 days of hire must have New Mexico Health and Life Insurance license.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person, via telephone and in writing with the public, including members, employers and agents.
  • Must be able to work closely with other team members and function efficiently under pressure.
  • Requires detailed knowledge of group sales and customer service.
  • Knowledge of HR benefits functions, especially behavioral health benefits, is helpful and to be acquired.
  • High school diploma required

Responsibilities

  • Sells profitable business, to contribute to the achievement of profit, revenue and persistency goals.
  • Fields and/or originates sales calls, qualifies prospects and captures prospect data.
  • Develops and manages prospecting strategies consistent with corporate goals.
  • Develops summaries or comparative analyses to help client or Broker understand key features of the products and decision making.
  • Manages leads to find and attract new customers profitably.
  • Obtains competitive information on a consistent basis submitting in the prescribed format.
  • Actively solicit national Brokerage Houses (if applicable to unit) to ensure Presbyterian included in RFI/RFP requests.
  • Probes for information and listens to determine needs and offers solutions.
  • Differentiates Presbyterian products from marketplace to attract prospect s attention.
  • Negotiates and finalizes price with underwriting, Brokers and prospects where appropriate.
  • Responsible for collecting all necessary documentation for risk assessment and new group submission.
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with Brokers/prospects/clients.
  • Educate Brokers/prospects/clients on products, services, industry trends, regulatory updates and Presbyterians position on issues.
  • Presents and communicates effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Maintains and develops comprehensive product and industry knowledge.
  • Conducts business meetings in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory considerations.
  • Meets monthly sales quota.
  • Maintains compliance with Presbyterian and regulatory guidelines and standards
