Presbyterian is seeking a Patient Mobility Tech. In this role, you will help nurses by assisting patients with their mobility during their hospital stay.
You'll team up with nurses to help patients stay active and independent, whether that means assisting them how to shift positions in bed, helping them transfer safely to a chair, or walking with them down the hospital hallway. The goal of movement is also important for preventing serious complications like muscle weakness, falls, and pressure sores that can happen when patients stay in one position too long.
But here's what makes this job special: you're not just working with bodies, you're working with people. While you help patients with daily tasks like eating, bathing, and getting dressed, you'll also be that friendly face they look forward to seeing, offering encouragement when they need it most.
This position is a great next step if your goal is to become a nurse or be a therapist working in a rehab department. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with healthcare professionals, getting real-world experience that no textbook can teach you.
Consider this position if you would like to learn more about the medical field- where you'll learn, grow, and make a difference every single day.
How you grow, learn and thrive matters here.
