Overview

The Total Rewards Project Manager plays a key role in the design, implementation, and management of compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. This role leads strategic and operational projects across the total rewards spectrum, including compensation planning, benefits administration, and market competitiveness. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, analytical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to support a high-performing HR function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Masters degree or CCP/CBP certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic HR Business partnership, total rewards and benefits. Global benefits experience preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation/benefits platforms (e.g., SAP, MarketPay, ADP).

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Program Management
    • Manage the creation and evaluation of new positions, ensuring alignment with internal structures and market benchmarks.
    • Lead job reclassification processes, including documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication.
    • Coordinate the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive planning.
    • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using compensation surveys and tools to maintain competitive pay practices.
    • Maintain and update salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation policies.
    • Provide compensation guidance to HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition for hiring, promotions, and internal mobility.

  • Project Management
    • Lead cross-functional total rewards projects, including system implementations, policy updates, and program rollouts.
    • Develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and ensure stakeholder alignment and communication.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across compensation and benefits processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
    • Prepare dashboards and reports for HR leadership and executive stakeholders.
    • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems and tools.

  • Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with applicable laws and internal policies.
    • Support audits and reporting requirements related to compensation and benefits.
    • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for all total rewards processes.

  • HR Business Partnership
    • Advise leadership, recruiters, and HR staff on compensation-related matters including equity placements, exemption status, reorganizations, and incentive plans.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to HRBPs and business leaders on compensation, benefits, and organizational design.
    • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure alignment and consistency in people practices across the organization.
    • Maintain and update compensation policies and procedures, serving as a resource for HR and business leaders.
