Now hiring a Supervisor-Patient Transport!


Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring a Supervisor-Patient Transport. The Patient Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the scheduling and assignment of the daily activities of the Patient Transport staff as well as work closely with the system administrator of bed-tracking software technologies. The Patient Transport Supervisor will assure the safe and efficient transportation of patients throughout the hospital and will oversee the daily assignment of discharge bed cleaning to the discharge bed cleaning team (DBST).

Qualifications

  • HS/GED
  • 3-5 years experience in patient care or customer service required.
  • 2-3 years college level courses/Associates Degree in Healthcare or
  • Business-related area and one year of supervisory experience in patient care or customer service preferred.
  • BLS required
  • Maintain communication with transport team both on and off supervisory working hours.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares work schedules through API and assigns tasks to patient transporters and using bed-tracking software as a tool.

  • Ensures adequate staffing throughout patient transport department and maintains thorough communication with nursing management and leadership teams.

  • Receives notification when jobs are not completed within the assigned timeframe and ensures that the job is either reassigned or completed.
