Presbyterian healthcare is hiring a Senior IT Vendor Management Specialist. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. IT Vendor Management Specialist to join our dynamic IT Managed Service Provider team. The role will be responsible for overseeing and managing relationships with our vendors and managed service providers, ensuring that we obtain the highest quality services and value to our customers. This role is crucial in maintaining our high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Prefer Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL and ServiceNow a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in IT, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, ITSM Integrated Systems, Contract Management, PMP) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, service delivery or a related role within the IT industry. Prior experience overseeing a high-value enterprise MSP engagement, including oversight of service delivery.
  • Skills:
    Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
    Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Proficiency in contract and financial management.
    Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as an individual or in a group setting
    Strong understanding of IT services and industry best practices.
    Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
    Adaptable and open to change, with a willingness to learn and grow.

 

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key, large-scale vendors and managed service providers under a high-value enterprise contract. Act as primary point of contact, engaging in negotiating contracts and ensuring service level compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ongoing evaluation of vendor performance, ensuring high-quality service levels, timely issue resolution, and continuous improvement in support of business objectives.
  • Contract Management: Creation, execution, and renewal of vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Finance Optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize costs without compromising on quality, negotiating favorable terms and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor relationships, ensuring business continuity and compliance with industry standards and internal security controls
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, other vendors, and business stakeholders to align service delivery with business strategies and operations.
  • Research and Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on vendor performance, cost savings, and any issues or concerns that may arise. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in vendor management.
  • Vendor Business Reviews: Participate and Facilitate regular service delivery reviews with vendors to discuss performance, financials, address issues, and explore opportunities for improvement.
