Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Patient Flow Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of patients throughout the facility, optimizing bed utilization, and supporting clinical teams in delivering timely, high-quality care.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree Nursing required, BSN preferred. 
Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing required.
Experience Required: 2 years experience as a clinical nurse.

BLS required


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in real time
  • Collaborate with nursing, medical, and administrative teams to manage patient placement
  • Identify and resolve patient flow bottlenecks to reduce delays and improve throughput
  • Maintain accurate records of bed availability and patient status using hospital systems
  • Communicate effectively with departments to anticipate and respond to capacity needs
  • Support emergency and high-priority admissions with timely coordination
  • Participate in daily bed huddles and patient flow meetings
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
