Two years radiology specific college coursework, associate degree or diploma required.
Two years of radiology experience required. Four years of radiology experience preferred.
ARRT Certification Required.
NM State license required.
Current BLS required.

Responsibilities:
Preparation and ongoing review of department budget.
Responsible for work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
Maintains established departmental and state regulations, policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Constructs documents as required.
Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health comfort, safety of patients and staff.
Establishes and maintains communication within the department and with other hospital departments. Develops relationships with the professional affiliations and others as appropriate.
Applies Radiological Technology Skills when necessary. Oversees new testing procedures and related protocol. Encourages and approves introduction and demonstration of new techniques, equipment, and research findings.
Serves as knowledgeable resource and implementer of quality assurance programs. Establishes and maintains safety, environmental and infection control policies and procedures for the department.
Applies all JCAHO requirements.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed
