Presbyterian is seeking skilled and new Nursing Techs to provide care to our inpatient population. As a Nurse Assistant, you will help with procedures ranging from phlebotomy, wound care, bathing, data entry, and clerical work.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
courteously greets and directs customers; promotes/facilitates accurate and timely unit communication; keeps locator boards current
answers telephones and efficiently processes information, including accurately transcribing physicians orders
communicates and processes paperwork for admissions, transfers, and discharges; ensures complete medical records at discharge
maintains correct census and bed status report; assembles patient charts and updates them daily
manages and accounts for office supplies; assists with cleanliness and orderliness of the unit
collects and records patient data including vital signs and weights; transports patients and documents actions
assists with tray delivery, feeding setup, and records input/output
supports patients in personal hygiene, positioning, and ambulation
communicates pertinent information at end of shift
rounds on patients and families frequently; reports needs to responsible nurse
performs insertion/removal of gastric and urethral tubes; enemas and disimpactions; removes IV lines; trained phlebotomy tasks in applicable units
operates monitoring systems (cardiac, fetal); conducts bedside testing like oximetry, ECG, glucometry, urinalysis
performs wound care, dressing changes, staple and suture removal; assists with sterile procedures and restraints
applies oxygen delivery devices as ordered; helps with portable and wall oxygen; stores E cylinders properly
documents all care and updates patient records; posts lab and test results; uses computerized documentation system appropriately
delivers specimens and transports x-rays, blood products, and equipment
maintains cleanliness in nutrition and general unit areas; cleans and stores equipment; manages trash, linens, and sharps containers
stocks medical supplies and paper goods; inventories and logs equipment; processes broken items as directed
performs other functions as required
