Overview

As an Outpatient Occupational Therapist, you'll work with patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree, Masters preferred
  • BLS required at the time of hire
  • NM licensure

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats patients using a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of function, occupation, and developmental disorders

  • Demonstrates understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan of patients served

  • Oversees comprehensive rehabilitation programs addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental needs

  • Promotes patient and caregiver self-determination by leveraging external resources to maximize independence

  • Coordinates and communicates with interdisciplinary teams involved in patient care

  • Aligns treatment efforts with discharge goals established during initial evaluation and throughout care

  • Advocates for patients’ needs and rights throughout the care process

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Provides care across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based, and home health environments
