This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Achieve exceptional patient experience using CARES, AIDET, and EPE tools
Address and attempt to resolve complaints using key words at key times
Manage conflict and involve a supervisor when necessary
Round with waiting patients to ensure comfort and communicate delays
Perform patient scheduling and validate accurate demographics
Guide informed conversations about in-network coverage following CDS and RDS guidelines
Set expectations regarding prior authorizations, referrals, and out-of-pocket costs
Refer patients to Financial Advocate or Financial Advocacy Center as appropriate
Create complete and accurate telephone encounter messages and route via Epic in-basket
Instruct patients on the Release of Information process and ensure proper form submission
Understand the link between quality service, patient satisfaction, and reimbursement
Meet telephone performance metrics including time to service and abandonment rate
Make confirmation calls with visit-specific directions and instructions
Respond promptly to patients in distress and alert clinical team per clinic manager guidelines
Maintain a clean and safe scheduling area, waiting room, and walkways
Report any safety concerns immediately
Complete annual Code Blue competency for clerical staff
Perform appointment reminder calls and rescheduling as assigned
Evaluate provider schedules and take action to ensure accuracy and efficiency
