Presbyterian is seeking a dedicated Medical Staff Support Specialist to join our team in Española, New Mexico.
In this position, you will support the credentialing and privileging program for PEH. You will review processed applications, follow up on documentation, and prepare files for. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Medical Staff Affairs Office Manager, develop agendas, schedule meetings, and ensure complete preparation for Medical Staff programs. Your role will include updating and distributing Emergency Department Back-up Call Schedules, coordinating Medical Staff Peer Review activities, and assisting Medical Staff leadership with clerical and support duties. You will manage the onboarding process for new Medical Staff members and assist with communication, including departmental memorandums, rosters, and general correspondence.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Supports the credentialing and privileging program for PEH
Receive and review processed applications from the PHS CVO. Follow-up on necessary documentation and prepare files for Medical Staff review. Enter privileges into system credentialing database
Work collaboratively with the Medical Staff Affairs Office Manager
Develops agendas, plans and implements schedules for assigned Committees. Ensures complete/appropriate preparation for meetings and Medical Staff programs (coordinates room, catering requests, compiles meeting packets; request records for peer review(s) and sends reminders to attendees). Attends committee meetings, records and transcribes minutes and submits reports as required
Updates the Emergency Department Back-up Call Schedules for assigned areas and ensures distribution of schedules to appropriate departments
Interfaces with appropriate departments to coordinate Medical Staff Peer Review activities
Assists Medical Staff leadership with clerical and support duties as requested
Responsible for the Offices Onboarding process for new Medical Staff members
Assist Medical Staff Affairs Manager with communication, including departmental memorandums, medical staff rosters, general correspondence
