Presbyterian is seeking a Staff Attorney II. This position will provide in-house counsel advice and services to Presbyterian Healthcare Services and its affiliates (PHS). Responsible for assisting in a variety of assigned legal projects including provider network contracting, health plan operations, and provider disputes. Provide legal and strategic guidance to support the health plan’s provider contracting and network development functions.
Performs a variety of consultative or advisory work; gathers evidence and information for management decision making; prepares, reviews and negotiates legal documents and agreements, including network provider contracts, value-based payment arrangements, single case agreements, and other related agreements; provides tactical and strategic advice and analysis of healthcare laws and regulations; provides legal oversight and direction for the organization’s provider contracting process. Responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and ensuring legal compliance. Matters in question usually have a significant impact on the organization’s operations, strategies, and financial condition. This is a recognized expert in complex fields of law.
