Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Manager - Patient Placement and Transfer Center- Bed Management Placement Center to join our leadership team!

 

The Nurse Manager of Presbyterian Care Connection provides direction and strategy for the Clinical Transfer Center Nurse Specialists staff and oversees the departments daily activities. Coordinates the integration of all clinical and non-clinical triage calls and intake functions to provide effective outcome based patient centered care. Serves as the central resource to the Transfer Center Nurse Specialists and PDS Hospital Leadership for development of tools, processes and systems to optimize the departments strategic goals; Provides support to staff, assigns duties to staff members based on volumes, skills, departmental needs. Identifies and mitigates problems as they occur and addresses performance issues. Hires, orients, schedules and coaches and mentors the staff to meet the needs of all patients and stakeholders. Develops staff and evaluates employee performance; Analyzes available data to measure individual and team performance, clinical program performance, team processes and compliance. The manager will anticipate and resolve complex issues to ensure accurate and cost effective operations and the achievement of productivity and quality metrics.
Assists the Department Director in planning, directing and coordinating the operational and personnel activities of the designated departments. Provides clinical and operational leadership for areas assigned.
Provides management oversight for the enterprise wide Patient Placement and Transfer Center (PPTC) including development of centralized bed management and patient flow strategy/processes for PDS hospitals, Urgent Care, Emergency, and PMG clinics and providers. Implements and oversees policies and procedures related to PPTC functions. Development of and accountability for metrics to ensure measurable success.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Preferred-management and leadership experience, in-patient clinical experience, bed management and transfer center experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in nursing required.
  • RN-NM must hold current License from State of New Mexico.
  • 5 years of relevant acute care clinical experience required.
  • 3 years of relative healthcare experience in a triage setting preferred. Relevant management experience preferred.
